Stacy's Turkey Chili

ingredients

  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1-2 bell peppers, red or/and green, chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic, crushed or a couple of cloves
  • Olive oil or 1/4 stick butter for sautéing (I use olive oil)
  • 1 –1lb package of ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup of chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2- 28 oz cans of diced tomatoes, with liquid.
  • 1-2 cans of Kidney beans
  • 1-2 cans of black beans
  • Optional: Canned or frozen corn
  • Some beer (I usually use about 1/2 a bottle)

    Saute onions, peppers and garlic in oil 3 to 5 minutes, or until onions are translucent. Add ground turkey and spices,cook until meat is no longer pink. Add tomotoes, beans, corn and beer.Bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer, for about 30 minutes.

    Add 1/4 cup chopped cilantro and stir in before you serve.

    Top with chips, sour cream, avocados, cheese, and olives.
