ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 cups cooked cut-up chicken
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 pkg frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 box frozen pie crust
  • 1 teas salt and pepper
  • 2 teas paprika
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 3 cups 1/2 and 1/2

directions

Saute’ mushrooms and onions in butter add flour and stir about 1 min. Add chicken broth and bouillon cubes while stirring. Next add chicken, frozen vegetables, 1/2 and 1/2, salt, pepper, and paprika. Put one pie crust in the bottom of large cast iron skillet or pan. Pour mixture in and cover with the other pie crust. Bake at 350 for an hour, or until crust is light brown.
