This dish would be considered “comfort food” in the US. Good for chilly nights and an easy dish to use your holiday cooking leftovers.
- 1 lb lean ground beef or any left over meat
- 6-7 peeled medium sized potatoes
- 1/2 cup of milk or cream
- 3 tbsp. butter
- Pinch of salt to taste
- 1 cup frozen [but thawed] mixed vegetables or any left over vegetables or beans
- 1 can mushroom soup, gravy or broth
- few pats of butter
Any red meat will do for this dish, however if you want to use left over turkey, that should work also.
