White Velvet Cut Outs
Velvety smooth.
ingredients
Cookies- 2 cups butter or margarine, softened
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 3 1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar, divided 1-1/2 + 2
- 3 Tbl. butter, softened
- 1 Tbl. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3-4 Tbl. milk, divided

Cookies:

Cream butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add sugar egg yolks and vanilla-mix well. Gradually add flour. If you will be using cookie cutters, cover and chill 2 hours or until firm. Roll out one section to 1/4 inch and cut-out. Place on greased sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until set, not browned.

Frosting:

Combine 1-1/2 cups sugar, butter, shortening, vanilla and 3 Tblsp. milk; beat until smooth. Gradually add remaining sugar and milk (if needed) to desired consistency.

Frost cookies and partake in your goodness!

I make these often using a spoonful of dough to make the cookie instead of taking the time to roll and use cookie cutters.
