Salmon Ball

This is a good dish to bring to a party if you don’t know what to take. It’s not very complicated, and it looks pretty impressive.

ingredients

  • 1 lb can salmon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp grated onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 cup pecans or other nuts
  • 3 Tbls snipped parsley

directions

Drain the salmon, and flake into a bowl. Remove skin and bones. Mix thoroughly with juice, onion, salt, and liquid smoke. Shape into a ball, roll in nuts and parsley, and chill 1 hour. Serve with crackers or bread.

notes

You can leave out the liquid smoke and the onions, and it's still quite nice. I usually omit both.
