Fish and Chips
This is a delicious way to prepare fish . . .
ingredients
- Fish
- 1 1/2 Lb White Fish
- 1/2 Cup plus 1 Tbs Flour
- 1/2 Tbs Baking Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Lemon Zest
- 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Pepper
- Oil for frying
- Chips
- 4-5 Good sized potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic Powder

Lay fish on cutting board, sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, lemon zest, cayenne, salt and pepper.

Whisk in 1/2 cup water, then egg.

Dip fillets in batter.

Pan fry in 1/2 inch oil.

Wash potatoes, cut into strips. Coat with oil, salt, pepper and garlic.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender, and crisp on the outside.

I like to serve mine with tarter sauce . . .
