Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini
Great for leftover turkey after Thanksgiving.
ingredients
- 2-3 cups shredded chicken or turkey
- 1/2 lb. macaroni or spaghetti
- 1/2 to 3/4 lb. sauteed mushrooms
- 1/2 cup blanched, slivered almonds
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- seasoning
- 1 cup heated whipping cream
- 3 tbsp. dry white wine
- Parmesan cheese

Add the meat to mushrooms and almonds. Make a sauce with the butter, flour, broth, and seasoning.

Remove from heat and stir in the cream and white wine.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Add 1/2 the sauce to the chicken and 1/2 to the macaroni and mushrooms. Place the macaroni in a greased baking dish. Make a hole in the center. Place the chicken in it. Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese. Bake until lightly browned.
