Summer Fruit Crisp
This tasty and simple crisp is perfect when you have an assortment of seasonal fruit on hand.
ingredients
- 1 1/2# fruit (apples, crabapples,
- plums, rhubarb) Between 2 to 3 cups
- of sliced or chopped fruit
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Use more or less of the above ingredients depending on taste.
- 3/4 Cup whole wheat flour
- 5 Tablespoons cold butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in

butter until crumbly. In a separate

bowl toss together all the fruit.

Butter 8 by 8 baking dish. Put half the crumble mixture on bottom of baking dish, and press down. Put fruit combo on top, then remaining crumble mixture on top of fruit. Bake in oven for 30-40 minutes, until fruit is tender and bubbly and top is brown.

Serve warm with ice cream or homemade whipped cream. Enjoy!
