ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground turkey sausage
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 2 white onions chopped
  • 2 1/2 tsp dried sage
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 5 cups of bread cubes from bakery
  • 1 golden delicious apple chopped
  • 3/4 dried cranberries
  • 3/4 minced fresh parsley
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

    In a large skillet, cook the sausage and onions over medium heat, stirring and breaking up the lumps until evenly browned. Add celery, sage, rosemary and thyme; cook, stirring for 2 minutes to blend flavors.

    Place bread in a large bowl and pour the sausage mixture on top. Mix in chopped apples, dried cranberries and parsley. Drizzle with broth and melted butter, and mix lightly.

    Bake in a casserole dish until browned.
