  • one small bunch green onions (scallions), cleaned
  • 1/3 cup fresh gingerroot, unpeeled, sliced into thin coins
  • fresh white rice for serving
  • Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin OR white wine
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh gingerroot
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons honey
