Chicken Skillet
An all in one pan recipe. Super easy and always tasty.
ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- salt and pepper
- 5 tbs. margarine or butter
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 cups mushrooms
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 tbs. white cooking wine
- 2-3 tbs. lemon juice
- 1 cube chicken bouillon
- 1 tsb. flour
- 2 tbs. water
- Provel or Provolone Cheese (Optional)

Melt margarine, and saute garlic for 2 minutes. Add chicken - cook for 3-5 minutes on each side on low heat.

While chicken is cooking bring to a boil cooking water, cooking wine, lemon juice and chicken bouillon. Once liquids have boiled pour over chicken, cover and cook for 20-25 minutes on medium to low heat. To be sure chicken is fully cooked you can cut into the thickest part of the chicken and make sure its not pink.

Once chicken is cooked remove from skillet.

Mix flour and water stir really well. Turn heat up over chicken juices in skillet, when it comes to a boil pour flour and water mixture into skillet. Cook on medium to high heat for about 1 minute until it thickens. Turn heat off and re add chicken to warm it up.

If you are in a cheesy mood, add provel or provolone cheese to top, cover skillet until cheese melts.

Great served with white rice and a side of broccoli.
