Teriyaki Stir-Fry

ingredients

  • 2 packages chow mien stir-fry noodles
  • 1 15 oz bottle teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • boneless skinless chicken breasts (optional)
  • 1 package tofu (optional)
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes

  • 1

    Grease wok with vegetable oil and preheat to 375°.

  • 2

    Mix teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, and dark brown sugar. Set aside.

    Cut up chicken and add to wok. Cook for 15-30 minutes. Slowly add part of teriyaki sauce as cooking. (optional)

    Cut up tofu and add to wok. Cook for 10-12 minutes. Slowly add part of teriyaki sauce as cooking (optional)

  • 5

    Cut peppers and onions into strips,and add into wok. Add crushed red pepper. Add more teriyaki sauce as needed.

    Cook noodles as packaging specifies. Add to wok, along with rest of teriyaki sauce.

notes

Adding chicken or tofu to this dish is optional. Whichever is not desired, skip that step.
