ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4 medium bananas)
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts(optional)

    Preheat oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients and mix by hand. Add bananas, butter, vanilla and milk. Beat with an electric mixer on high for 2 minutes. If adding nuts stir them in by hand.

    Pour batter into a 8x4x2-loaf pan. Bake in oven for 55 to 60 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Let bread cool for 10 minutes than remove from pan. For best results when bread is completely cooled wrap and store overnight before slicing.
