Merissa's Sweet Potato Casserole
Merissa made it for the first time this year, and it was a big hit at Thanksgiving.
ingredients
- 7 sweet potatoes peeled and quartered
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 - 1 stick melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
directions
Boil potatoes about 20 minutes until tender. Mash by hand until thick and chunky. Add 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup granulated sugar, the melted butter, and 1/2 cup of milk. Mash until nice and creamy. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Cover with a sprinkling of brown sugar and mini marshmallows. Bake at 350° about 15- 20 minutes; until marshmallows melt and the sugar gets browned and crispy.
