POT ROAST
This one you can put in oven first thing in the morning and dinner will be ready whenever you are.
ingredients
- Large Chuck Roast (Frozen)
- Onions
- Cabbage
- Carrots
- Potatoes
- Lipton Onion Soup Mix package
- Salt
- Pepper
directions
- 1
Place your Frozen Chuck roast into the largest roasting pan you have.
- 2
Peel and slice in half as many Onions, Potatoes and Carrots as you’d like.
- 3
If you’d like to buy the tiny carrots that’s just fine, and it’s a little bit easier. These can go into the pan whole.
- 4
Core the cabbage and cut into large wedges.
- 5
Place Carrots, Onions, Potatoes and Cabbage in the pan around the sides of the frozen roast.
- 6
Sprinkle both packages of Onion soup mix over the top of the meat and veggies. Add a little salt and pepper.
- 7
Add water to cover meat. (now you know why you need such a large roasting pan)
- 8
Cover with foil and place in a 300 degree oven for about 8 hours.
- 9
To check to see when it’s done just stick a fork into the meat and twist. If the meat just falls apart you are GOOD TO GO!
notes
If you'd like to make this really early in the morning and you're not going to eat it until later at night just lower your oven temp to 275
