Shannon's Crockpot Chicken

ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 1/5 lbs skinless boneless chicken breast halves (I used a whole chicken)
  • 2-6oz cans tomato paste
  • z fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup water

directions

Put sliced onion in bottom of slow cooker; top with chicken breast halves. Combine and stir together remaining ingredients. Spread over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hrs, or 3-4 hrs on high.

notes

Serve as a sauce for hot cooked spaghetti or similar pasta.
