The Infamous Bourbon Weenies

ingredients

  • 1, 16 oz. package little smokie sausages
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup and 2 tbsp. cocktail sauce
  • 1/2 cup bourbon

directions

In a large skillet, combine sausages, brown sugar, ketchup or cocktail sauce, and bourbon. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sausages are heated through.

Note: If you feel the lowly cocktail toothpick is simply too gauche for these noble weenies, allrecipes.com suggests that you can substitute a pretzel stick for the ceremonial spearing. Faaannccy.
