Brandy Slush

Makes 5 quarts

A bucket of this is handy to keep on hand in the freezer for company....summer or winter!

ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 4 regular tea bags
  • 12 oz. frozen orange juice
  • 6 oz. frozen lemonade
  • 7 c. cold water
  • 2 c. brandy
  • Sprite or 7-up

    Bring 2 cups of water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and place tea bags in. Remove tea bags after 5 minutes, after stirring and squeezing out excess liquid.

    Place mixture in a large bowl and add orange juice and lemonade, stirring to defrost. Then add 7 cups of water and brandy. Freeze at least overnight, stirring occasionally. Keep covered in freezer. Serve by scooping into glasses, offering a spoon and topping with a small amount of Sprite or 7-up.
