chocolate peanut-pretzel clusters

- prep time:
- quick, especially if you premeasure the peanuts and crushed pretzels
These are super easy and delicious; refrigerate for a great candy-like cookie.
ingredients
- 1 cup semisweet choc. chips
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
- 1 cup unsalted, dry-roasted peanuts
- 1 cup stick pretzels broken into pieces
- (put a handful in a baggie and crush with a hammer; keep doing this until you have a cup of pretzel pieces)
directions
- 1
Heat chocolate and peanut butter pieces in a pan that is sitting on a smaller pan that has about an inch of water in it. Make sure the bottom pan’s water is not so much as to touch the top pan’s bottom. Simmer that water to slowly melt the pieces or just until the choc. ones are melted and the peanut butter ones are almost melted.
- 2
Carefully remove that top pan from heat, and stir in the peanuts and crushed pretzels.
- 3
Drop this mixture by teaspoons or tablespoons (depending how large you want your “clusters”) onto wax paper or greased foil.
- 4
Refrigerate.
