Wild Rice and Ham Chowder
A true fall favorite, served in bread bowls!
ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup uncooked wild rice
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter
- 4 cups water
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 cup (2 medium) potatoes, cubed
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 tsp thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 17 oz corn
- 2 cup half and half
- 1 # (3 cups) cubed ham
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
