Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
From the kitchen of April Moore Massad. I love making bread and this is Eric’s favorite! When he worked at Bright Smile they would fight over it and several assistants asked for this bread as a Christmas present!
ingredients
- 6 medium very ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 large eggs
- 3 1/2 cups all-purose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup ground pecans (optional)
- 2 cups mini semisweet chocolate morsels

This bread makes the house smell so good and uses up your old bananas! I like pecans, but Eric doesn't. I pour one loaf and then I add 1/2 cup pecans to the remaining batter and pour the second loaf. One with pecans and one without!
