Maldivian Tuna Salad
As once requested by you... the recipe for a delicious tuna salad straight from the watery nation of the Maldives.
ingredients
- Canned(in water) or fresh minced tuna
- Juice of 1 lime or lemon
- 1/2 red onion (chopped finely)
- 1/4 c shredded coconut (unsweetened) (can add more to taste)
- 1/2 green pepper (chopped)
directions
Mix all ingredients together and let stand until marinated at least 30 minutes (can be left overnight). Serve cold or room temperature. You can add or take away ingredients according to taste.
notes
We first enjoyed this when just the two of us got to spend a day on a lovely boat in the Maldives. The backdrop was of azure waters, leaping mantas and a sunken boat sticking out of the water.
