Scones
Fruit, nuts or chocolate pieces can be added to recipe.
ingredients
- 2 C Flour
- 2 1/2 t Baking powder
- 1/4 t Baking soda
- 2 T Sugar
- 1/2 t Salt
- 1/4 C Butter
- 1 Egg (slightly beaten)
- 3/4 C Buttermilk
directions

Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit.

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.

Stir in egg and buttermilk until combined.

Divide dough in half and roll out to be 1/2" thick.

Cut each half into six wedges and place on greased baking pan.

Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
