Laurie's Amaretto Cake
ingredients
- 1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe cake mix
- 4 whole eggs
- 1/2 cup amaretto
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 oz sliced almonds
- For glaze:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/4 cup amaretto
- 1/2 cup water

Grease and flour a bundt pan

Sprinkle almonds over bottom and set aside

Beat all above ingredients for two minutes

Pour batter over the nuts

Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes

While cake is baking make glaze

Bring all ingredients to a boil for 3 minutes

After cake has cooled for 5 minutes, drizzle glaze over the top and sides while cake is still in pan

Let sit for approximately 1-2 hours until glaze is absorbed

Cake should come out of pan easily
