Angle food Cake
cream of tartar 1/2 teaspoon salt
ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups egg whites
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 1 cup sifted cake flour
- 1 1/4 cups super fine sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon almond
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon ,cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350

Put egg whites and water in large mixer bowl,

let warm to room temp. Beat egg whites until frothy add cream of tartar and beat at high speed adding a 1/4 cup of sugar at a time until stiff. Sift flour over egg whites a 1/4 at a time folding into whites gently. Fold in almond and vanilla. Put in a 10 inch tube pan. gently spread top. Bake 50 minutes. Cool upside down on neck of a bottle. Serve with strawberries and whip cream.
