Cheese-sausage balls
Savory appetizer bites with cheese and spicy sausage. Mom got the recipe from Linda I think.
ingredients
- 1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb hot pork sausage
- 1 2/4 c commercial biscuit mix
directions

Melt cheese in top of double boiler over simmering water. Cool slightly.

Fry sausage, breaking up into fine pieces with fork, until it is about half cooked.

Drain well, squeezing in paper towels.

Add sausage and biscuit mix to cheese and blend.

Form into 1-inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400F ~13 minutes until nicely browned.

Yield about 40 balls.
