Apple Cream Pie
This is a great tasting deep dish apple pie.
ingredients
Crust- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- favorite pie crust recipe
- 6 large apples, pared and quartered
- 1 tbs. lemon juice
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. allspice (optional)
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup heavy cream

Add 1/4 cinnamon to favorite pie crust recipe.

Place in 9" pie pan and set aside.

Sprinkle lemon juice over quartered apples, place apples round side up in the pastry lined pan.(just keep going around in a circle until the pan is filled)

Combine brown sugar, flour, spices and salt. Sprinkle 3/4 cup mixture over apples, pour cream all over apples, dot with a little butter, sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.

Bake: 10 min at 400° then 45 to 60 min at 350° or until apples are tender.
