Fumi Salad
I got this one from a co-worker. I still have the email that she sent to me, and it’s dated 1-19-2001, I’m glad to finally document this one properly in a cookbook, and I can clean out my inbox!
ingredients
- 1 head of green cabbage
- 4 or 5 bags of Top Raman noodles, crumbled (not cooked, discard the seasoning packet)
- 1 bag sliced almonds
- 1 2 ounce bag of sesame seeds
- 1 bunch of green onions chopped
- dressing
- 1 cup olive oil
- 6 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- 2 teaspoons of Lawry’s season salt
directions
Roast the almonds and sesame seeds in a dry fry pan. Be careful not to burn, they cook quickly. Mix all the salad ingredients together. toss with the dressing just before serving.

I know this salad is quirky, but I think you'll like it.
