Cream of Broccoli Soup

My mom found this in a church cookbook, and we have been making it ever since . . .

ingredients

  • 1 Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 2 Tbs Margarine or Butter
  • 3 Cups Water
  • 5 Chicken Bouillon Cubes
  • 10 Oz Package Frozen Broccoli, Cooked and Chopped
  • 5 Oz Medium Egg Noodles, Uncooked
  • 3 Cups Milk
  • 11 Oz Velveeta or American Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

directions

Sauté onion in margarine or butter in a medium stockpot. Add water and bouillon, and boil for 3 minutes. Add broccoli and noodles and boil for 5 minutes or until noodles are tender. Add milk, cheese, salt and pepper. Heat until cheese melts and is the consistency you desire.
