Pretzel Salad
A favorite at potlucks.
ingredients
- 1 cup pretzels, crushed
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1/2 cup ice cold water
- 1 lg pkg strawberries, frozen

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix pretzels, sugar and margarine. Press pretzel mixture into 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool completely.

In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese and sugar. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon mixture over cooled crust. Refrigerate while preparing gelatin.

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in ice water and frozen strawberries. When mixture begins to jell, spoon over cream layer and refrigerate.
