Troop Commitee Cake - TC CAKE

Grandpa and the boy scout troop’s favorite treat. Made with love by Grandma Marion.
ingredients
- Batter:
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Topping:
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs in a mixer for 5 minutes. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together in a separate bowl and add gradually to the creamed batter.

Add yogurt and vanilla extract.

Spread batter in a greased and floured 9 inch X 9 inch baking pan.

Combing all topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Test with a toothpick.
