Frozen Banana Punch

*A refreshing, versatile drink that can be prepared and frozen weeks before serving. Great for a brunch, tea, wedding reception, or shower.

ingredients

  • Vodka (optional)
  • 2 12 oz. cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 12oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 46 oz. can pineapple juice
  • 6 ripe bananas
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 to 4 cups sugar
  • 10 liters ginger ale or lemon-lime soda, chilled

directions

    -In a VERY LARGE container, combine juices.

  • 2

    -Using a blender, puree bananas 2 at a time with water and sugar.

  • 3

    -Add mixture to juices after thoroughly blending.

  • 4

    -Freeze in quart containers or plastic bags, lay flat in freezer.

  • 5

    -When ready to serve, thaw until punch base is slushy.

  • 6

    -Add 2 liters ginger ale or lemon-lime soda to each quart of punch base.
