Key Lime Pie For A Summertime BBQ
ingredients
- Anna’s double graham pie crust (see recipe)
- 1 3/4 cups boiling water
- 1 pkg. (8 serving size) lime jello
- 1-2 Tbsp. grated lime peel
- 1/4 cup lime juice (use fresh limes or bottled key lime juice)
- 1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream, very soft.
- Topping:
- Whipping cream
- powdered sugar

Prepare Anna’s double graham pie crust in spring form pan.

For Pie:

Stir boiling water in gelatin for 2 minutes or until completely dissolved

Stir in lime peel and lime juice
- 5
Stir in softened ice cream until smooth and completely combined.

Pour mixture over crust and refrigerate until set about 3 - 4 hours.

Top with sweetened whipped cream and garnish with lime slices.

We love key lime pie. I have included 2 versions of the classic pie for variety. YUM!
