These babies were an Aunt Jean original!..Donna continues the tradition but I’d like to see these being made more often!

ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

directions

    Combine cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 tsp. salt.

    Beat well then add chocolate chips.

    Sift together the flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, baking soda and 1/2 tsp salt. Add the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla and beat until well combined.

    Fill cupcake pans with 1/3 full of chocolate mixture and place heaping tsp. of cream cheese mixture on top.

    Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
