ingredients

  • 2 pkgs [10 oz] frozen chopped spinach
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
  • Dash red pepper
  • 6 oz jalapeno cheese
  • 2 cups buttered bread crumbs

directions

Cook spinach. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup spinach liquor. Melt butter, saute onion until tender. Add flour and mix well. Add evaporated milk and reserved spinach liquor. Add pepper, celery, salt, garlic, Worchestershire sauce and red pepper. Add jalapeno cheese cut into small pieces. Put in 1 quart buttered casserole and top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly.
