Baked/Overnight French Toast
French Toast Bake can be made the night before and baked the next day. Kielbasa sausage makes the dish uniquely delicious!
ingredients
- 2 T corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 loaf french bread
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 5 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/4 t salt
- kielbasa sausage
directions
Simmer 2 T corn syrup, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, in a saucepan until syrupy. While simmering, cut French bread into 1 inch thick slices. When syrup is fully combined, spread into bottom of pan. Cover with the French Toast slices. Beat 5 eggs and add 1-1/2 milk to combine. Add rest of ingredients and combine. Pour this mixture on top of bread. Place in the refrigerator and let sit overnight if you wish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Add kielbasa on top for the last 15 minutes of baking. Enjoy!
