Favorite Banana Nut Bread

ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 cups flour
- 4 eggs
- 6 large, very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
directions

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add bananas and nuts.

Pour into two well-greased loaf pans and bake at 250-300 degrees for 1 to 2 hours.

A few of the pecans may be saved for sprinkling over the top of each loaf before baking.
