Collards
ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 pkgs pre-washed collards
- 1 medium onion
- 12 cups water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 2 t Tabasco
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 t pepper
- 1 t salt
directions
In large pan cook bacon until crisp on medium high. Add onions and saute until tender. Add collards and cook until wilted. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 1 hours. Turn heat to low and cook another 2 to 3 hours until tender.
