Rotalo al forno
ingredients
- 1 loaf frozen Italian bread dough
- 1/3 lb hard salami, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb ham, thinly sliced
- 1/3 lb swiss cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/3 provolone cheese
- 2 egg yolks beaten
- 10 yellow pepper rings (hot)(Vlasic makes them)
- garlic salt to taste
- flour (for rolling the dough)

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Thaw bread, let rise covered in a warm spot for one hour. On floured surface, punch down dough and knead for a few minutes. Roll dough into 12“x16” rectangle.

Sprinkle dough with garlic salt. Tear the meet into bite-sized pieces and layer over bread. Add hot yellow peppers. Then tear cheese into bite-sized pieces and layer over meat. Layer the peppers on top.

Starting at the long end, roll up lightly in a jelly roll fashion. Pinch ends together tightly and curve roll to form a crescent shape.

Brush with beaten eggs. Roll on cookie sheet and let rest for 20 minutes.

Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Let rest a few minutes before thinly slicing.
