Gran's Southern Cornbread Dressing
From my mother’s mother.
ingredients
- 6 c. crumbled cornbread
- 1 regular package seasoned stuffing mix
- 1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. marjoram
- 1 tsp. rubbed sage
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cans water
directions
Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, combine cornbread through sage. Add in onion and celery. Stir eggs, broth, and water together and add to bowl, tossing to coat. Put into greased 9“ x 13” pan. DO NOT PACK DOWN. Bake for 30 minutes.
