TEXAS CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE
ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Frosting:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 T milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 box (16 oz.) powdered sugar
- Chopped nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Combine butter, water, and cocoa in a 3-quart saucepan. Bring to boiling and boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. One at a time, beat in sugar (sugar must be added first), flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla. Quickly beat in sour cream, then eggs. Pour into well-greased 10 x 15 jelly roll pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, make frosting. Combine butter, cocoa and milk. Bring to boiling. Remove from heat, stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Blend until smooth.

After cake comes from the oven, immediately spread with frosting and sprinkle with nuts if desired. Cool
