Grandma Marg's Raspberry Dessert

Brittany’s favorite dessert

ingredients

Crust:
  • 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
Cream Layer:
  • 50 marshmallows
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cream whipped OR
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
Fruit Layer:
  • 20 oz. frozen red raspberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water

    Combine crust ingredients and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.

    Combine milk and marshmallows in microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 3 minutes and stir. Continue heating until marshmallows are completely melted. Stir well and cool completely. Add whipped cream and spread over top of crust. Chill until set.

    Combine fruit with water, sugar and lemon. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir together with the fruit. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thick and clear. Cool completely, and then spread over top of other two layers. Chill well.
