Baked Beans

ingredients

  • 2 lbs dried beans
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 tsp dried mustard
  • 3/4 lb salt pork
  • 4 Tbs brown sugar

directions

Wash beans, soak overnight. Add diced onion and salt to soaking beans, if necessary add more water to cover the beans. Simmer until the beans break. Drain and reserve 3 cups of cooking liquid, add more water if you do not have enough water in the pot. Mix in the rest of the ingredients and bake at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Delicious!
