Mackinaw Island Bars
ingredients
- 1 cup real butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoon almond extract
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- Powered sugar
directions
Mix sugar and butter till fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour, lemon juice and extract. Pour and spread into greased and floured jelly roll pan, 15x10. Mark top in one inch squares with knife. Put 1 tablespoon of pie filling in center of each square. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Let set 5-10 minutes, then dust with powered sugar.
