My Yams
Sticky and sweet, everyone seems to love this dish! It goes especially well with my dressing! Taste as you go and adjust according to your tastes!
ingredients
- 3 extra large cans of Princess Yams
- 1 C packed brown sugar
- 1 C real maple syrup
- 1 stick butter
- 1 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons allspice
- mini-marshmallows
directions

Butter a large casserole dish. Open the cans of yams and drain juice into a medium saucepan. Put yams in casserole. Combine all of the above in saucepan and simmer on low, uncovered for about an hour, until thickened. Pour over yams and cover. You can do the rest tomorrow.

Preheat oven to 400. Put casserole in oven, uncovered for about an hour,until bubbly. Sprinkle with mini-marshmallows and turn heat up to 425. Watch closely! Should be browned in about 5-8 minutes.
