Asian Flavored Salmon
ingredients
- 4 salmon filet, skinned and boned
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons oriental sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 bunch chives, chopped
- 1/4 cup finely minced ginger

Combine sherry, soy sauce, oyster sauce, lemon juice, sesame oil, pepper, chives and ginger.

Marinate the salmon for at most 1 hour.

Pour extra marinade into a saucepan and bring to boil.

Set sauce aside.

There are several ways to cook this.

If you are using a gas barbeque, preheat it. Leave skin on salmon. When you take it off the grill the skin will stick to the grill. Brush the barbeque with cooking oil or Pam. Place salmon on grill skin side down. Immediately cover and cook the salmon about 12 minutes.

If you use an oven, set it to 400 degrees. Cook it for 12-14 minutes.

You can add the extra marinade that you have boiled to the fish just before serving it but this is optional.
