Grandma's Chocolate Pie

- 9 inch graham cracker crust
- 2 1/2 milk
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 egg (optional)

Mix together cornstarch, sugar and cocoa in large glass or corning ware dish. Must be at least 1 1/2 quarts. Stir in milk. Microwave about 7 minutes stirring every two minutes. (If using egg, beat it in a dish. Stir some of the hot pudding into egg. This will temper the egg so it will not cook in lumps when mixed into the hot pudding). The pudding should boil up for 1 min.

If microwave is low power it will take longer.

Pour into crust . Put plastic wrap on surface. Chill
