Peanut Blossoms

Makes 4 dozen

ingredients

1 3/4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sugar (for rolling)
1 lb Hershey kisses

directions

Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and peanut butter. Add both sugars. Cream. Add egg and vanilla mixing well. Gradually add dry ingredients. Using about 1 tsp of batter, roll into balls, roll ball into sugar and bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350 for about 5-8 minutes. Remove and press “kiss” into center of each cookie. Cookie will flatten. Return to oven and for 2-3 minutes. Cool.
