Mac and Cheese
ingredients
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 onion, chopped
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 6 cups whole milk
- salt and pepper
- 8 oz. cheddar
- 8 oz. fontina
- 1/2 cup romano
- 1/2 cup parmesan
- 1 1/2 lb. macaroni noodles, cooked
- 2 cups French bread cubed, tossed w/ 2 tablespoons butter

Saute garlic and onion in butter for 3 minutes. Whisk in flour. Add heated whole milk slowly, stirring constantly to thicken, 6-8 minutes. Add in salt & pepper, cheddar, fontina, romano cheese, stirring constantly.

In 2 8-inch buttered casserole dishes, layer noodles, sauce, noodles, sauce. Grate parmesan over the top. Cover with buttered croutons.

Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
