One Step Split Pea Soup
This tastes so good on a cold cold day
ingredients
- 2 cups dried split peas
- 8 cups chicken stock
- 2 onions, chopped
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon curry powder (optional!)
- Freshly ground black pepper
directions
Combine all the ingredients in a large pot, bring to a boil and simmer 45 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put in a blender or food processor in batches, serve with freshly ground pepper to taste.
